Al teniente-coronel Alonso Pérez lo han acusado durante años de una serie de raros manejos
en los destinos del beisbol aficionado en México, pero nadie ha podido presentar pruebas. Sin embargo,
lo cierto es que ahora el presidente de la Federación Internacional de Beisbol, Harvey Schiller, anunció que
Pérez "fue expulsado" de ese organismo. Es decir, no renunció, no le pidieron la renuncia, sino que fue "expulsado". Las sospechas sobre las artimañas del militar han aumentado porque nadie ha querido revelar
por qué ha sido tratado de tal forma tan drástica.
Esa expulsión, se supone que determina igualmente su separación de la Federación Mexicana. Pero el teniente-coronel dice que no se va de la Federación Internacional ni de la Mexicana. Quiere seguir de todas maneras, después de 20 años de estar ahí. Y nadie sabe por qué tanto apego a esas obligaciones o a lo que sea.
Pérez también tiene una guerra muy dura con Carlos Hermosillo, el director de
CONADE (Comisión Nacional del Deporte), de quien dijo.... "Carlos Hermosillo es un tipo que no tiene
ni secundaria, y entonces cómo va a poder manejar el deporte mexicano. Creo que el gobierno federal
se equivocó completamente al haberlo nombrado representante del deporte de este país, y creo que por vergüenza se tiene que ir".
Hermosillo, quien fue un futbolista de renombre en México, ha sido animado por muchos allegados
a denunciar las posibles actividades ilícitas de Alonso Pérez como dirigente deportivo. Pero Carlos
ha preferido, al menos hasta hoy, llevar la situación con mesura e inteligencia, como cuando conducía el balón rumbo al arco.
